Pacific Pug Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in the Portland, Oregon area. We rely solely on donations from the community to fulfill our mission to help every pug in need regardless of age, medical condition, or circumstance.

APPLY TO FOSTER

Learn more about our foster-based rescue and how our foster families provide vital support to our dogs. Foster homes give our dogs the chance to decompress and get personalized care and attention allowing us to get to know each dog’s unique personality, needs, and preferences. This sets each dog up for long-term success finding a forever home by providing accurate information with potential adopters. 

We’re always looking for foster parents who are willing to open up their homes to a dog in need!

MEET OUR AVAILABLE DOGS

Before becoming available for adoption, each dog receives a thorough veterinary evaluation to ensure they're are ready for their next chapter. This includes spaying or neutering, up-to-date vaccinations, parasite screenings, and full bloodwork. Once cleared by our veterinary team, they’re ready to find their forever homes! We regularly update our website and social media pages with available dogs, so be sure to check often to learn more about each dog and find the link to submit an adoption application.

LEARN ABOUT OUR ADOPTION PROCESS

We take the time to get to know both our dogs and applicants through a thoughtful adoption process comprised of applications, conversations, and meet-and-greets.  We understand each dog’s personality, needs, and unique traits and aim to make a perfect match with the lifestyle and expectations of potential adopters. This careful approach helps ensure that each adoption is a good fit for all parties involved, establishing a foundation for a happy and lasting relationship.

Sunday July 20th
1-4pm 

Join Pacific Pug Rescue at Loowit Brewing (Ole's Outpost location) in Vancouver, Washington on Sunday July 20th from 1-4pm for Pints for Pugs! $1 for every pint purchased at Loowit Brewing will be donated to the rescue! What could be better?!

Enjoy a beer, check out some of our merch, and meet some of our rescue dogs and volunteers. 

Sunday July 27th
5-8pm 

Have you visited the new Wayfinder Beer in Troutdale????? It is an amazing space and we are thrilled to be invited!

There is a food cart pod, pizza, ice cream...and of course, lots of Beer! Dog are welcome inside or outside so you can join us even if it is a hot day!

$1 for every pint sold is donated to the rescue. We promise this place is worth the drive. We hope to see you there!

Puppy Yoga at Lighthouse Community Yoga

In early June a pug mix mama and her 6 puppies were found in a field and we were asked to help them. We are not sure what those babies are mixed with, we are waiting for their DNA, but we do know they are extremely cute and we would love to share them with you!

Come enjoy a restorative Yoga class taught by Rebecca Melton at Lighthouse Community Yoga while 6 puppies romp and play. Adult pugs and pug mixes will be there too! You are welcome to bring your well behaved pug also! Proceeds from this class will pay to have mama spayed and get her caught up on her medical needs as well as get the puppies vaccinated and ready for their new homes!!! Purchase Tickets Here!

Doors will open at 2:45, class will begin at 3pm and be 1 hour long. Please bring your own Yoga mat. If you are bringing a pug, they must be up to date on their vaccines because of the puppies. Please send a copy of those vaccines to alana@pacificpugrescue.org or have them available on your phone when you arrive.

For the safety of the puppies, dogs that are not up to date on their vaccines will not be allowed entrance.
