Benny is a petite 12-year-old chug with a big personality! He came to PPR as an owner surrender when his previous person's life circumstances changed. He was very well loved for the first 12 years of his life, and has a lot of love to give his new family.
Benny's favorite activities are napping on the couch, riding in the car, and going for walks around the neighborhood. He gets very attached to people but can also be independent, and a little stubborn about getting up when he wants to rest. So far, he's gotten along well with every animal he's met, though he will let other dogs know if they're being too rowdy. Due to his senior status and occasional crankiness, Benny will do best in a home with adults only.
While we think Benny is perfect just the way he is, he does have a couple of quirks. He can get a little grumpy sometimes, especially when somebody wakes him up before he's ready or tries to take his food (relatable!). It will be important for his future family to respect his signals and give him space when he needs it.
Benny's house training has improved since he first came in. He used to mark a lot but since his neuter that has pretty much completely subsided. He still is not quite perfect at it, but he is nearly there!
