Please Note:
Our pugs are not located in one place; they are all over the Portland/Vancouver area in loving Foster Homes. They are not available for one-on-one meetings until you have completed the application process. At this time we are not accepting applications for a waitlist.
If you are interested in any of the below pugs, please review our Adoption Process page before applying. Please do not call our phone number with application related questions. All correspondence regarding your application will be done by email. If your email filter is set to exclusive you will need to check your junk and spam folders frequently so you do not miss updates on the status of your application.
If you have not kept your current pets up to date on their medical care (including vaccinations, spay and neuter, and yearly wellness visits, your application will be automatically denied.
If you have applied to adopt previously, you do not need to fill out another application, please just email adoptions@pacificpugrescue.org and let them know of your interest.
Thank you for considering a rescued Pug!
Adoption prices are between $200-$800 and can vary depending on the age, health and medical treatment needed while under our care. We do take in dogs from Mexico and China and we are required to pay the transport costs for that. This may be added into the cost of the adoption. Please check the posting of the dog you are interested in to find out the cost.
Our adoption process includes completion of an adoption application, a home visit and a lifetime adoption contract. Adoptions are not done on a first come first serve basis. Pacific Pug Rescue is the companion animal's advocate and will select the most suitably matched home for the dog's general needs and the unique needs of each individual dog in our care. PPR requires all applicants to be courteous and respectful throughout the adoption process. We reserve the right to refuse service and adoption without explanation.

Captain
11yr old male
Adoption Donation $250
Hi I am Captain, I am a 11 yr old cutie looking to be the Captain of your Love Boat! Even though I am an older gentleman, I am spry and healthy, I just had a big dental to clean up all my yucky teeth and now I have a fresh clean mouth!
I am a cuddler and would love a home where I get to sleep with you, I have a soft snore, but don't worry it won't keep you up all night. I have to say my favorite things are cuddles, food and walks, and I get very excited for all of these things! I live with other dogs and I am friendly to all. In the mornings I likes to bark at the school bus that goes by my house. I love a good nap in the sun ( when we have it ).
I have been told I am a real catch, so if you are looking for a good Captain, I am your guy!

Wilson and Pup Pup
Wilson age 6 brindle pug
Pup Pup age 5 pug/chihuahua mix
Bonded Pair Adoption Donation $700 for pair
Meet Wilson and Pup Pup...two of the most unique and cute dogs you will find! Wilson is brindle pug and he is the father of Pup Pup. Pup Pup is mixed with a long haired Chihuahua so he has a nice fluffy coat that will require some grooming.
Both of these boys have not been socialized well and are very nervous when meeting new people, but with patience they do come around. They will need a patient owner that can give them space to adjust and also teach them that the world is not as scary as they think! They would do best in a home that is not really busy and with no small children. The boys will need a very secure yard, with their fear issues if they got away, you would have a hard time catching them.
Wilson is the most scared of the two and he relies on Pup Pup when he is feeling nervous. In true Chihuahua fashion, Pup Pup can be a bit nippy, especially with other dogs getting into his space. They both seem to be more fearful of men, but they have both come around to their foster papa.
The boys love playing tug with each other and enjoy going for walks. They are both very healthy, Pup Pup required urinary prescription food, but otherwise they got a clean report back from their medical! These boys will require a bit more patience, but once they come around, they are very loving and sweet!
