- Be 21+ years old and allow for an in-person or virtual home check
- As applicable, landlord confirmation that dogs are allowed in the home.
- As applicable, veterinary confirmation that any current dogs in the home are spayed/neutered and any current pets are up-to-date on veterinary care including vaccinations, unless a medical exception is provided by the veterinarian.
- Able to pick-up the dog within the Portland Metro Area within a week if approved to adopt.
- Out-of-area adopters, prior to applying, please contact us to verify the dog you are interested in is able to travel long distances either by car or airplane.

Rosita aka Rosie is a tender heart that would love to stare deeply into your eyes forever. This smart girl was living a rough life in Tijuana before moving to the PNW. As she starts to feel better her sweet little personality is really starting to shine. She’s been treated for a tick borne illness, and got a head to toe tune up at the vet.
She is getting used to the rainy weather and loves to toast by the fireplace and sunbath in any patch of sunshine. Potty training has been smooth for this smarty, and she has a minimum of 5 spins before going potty so it’s easy to catch it and escort her outside.
She’s very food motivated and loves praise! Her foster sister are great snuggle buddies but her dream would be to be in your lap all day.

Harlow is a very sweet little lady who deserves a chance to experience all the good things life has to offer. After spending her early life being exploited for the exaggerated features that make pugs so recognizable, she’s now learning what it means to feel safe, loved, and simply be a dog.
Harlow has some physical challenges that her future family will need to understand. Her flat face and deep facial wrinkle have contributed to breathing difficulties, and she recently underwent surgery to help improve her comfort and breathing. She also has arthritic hips and is sensitive to heat, which limits how much activity she can comfortably enjoy. Harlow isn’t going to be your long-distance hiking buddy, but she’s happy to join you for a short stroll before continuing the adventure from a stroller or carrying pouch!
Harlow is a sensitive soul. She can be fearful of new people and unfamiliar situations, and even being picked up can be scary for her. She sometimes pancakes to the ground out of fear, even with people she knows and trusts. She needs a patient family who will respect her boundaries, let her build confidence at her own pace, and understand that earning her trust is a journey worth taking.
Once Harlow feels safe, her sweet personality really shines. She becomes adorably wiggly and happy around her trusted people, loves affection, and especially enjoys cuddling up in bed with her favorite humans. We expect her playful side to continue emerging as she gains confidence.
Another confident, friendly dog in the home would be a huge benefit for Harlow. She tends to warm up to other dogs much faster than she does to people, and having a canine role model has made a world of difference in her foster home. A confident dog helps her feel more secure, gives her someone to learn from, and shows her the ropes of being a dog. She would do best in a relatively calm, quiet household without lots of new visitors or constant commotion. Respectful, dog-savvy teenagers may be a good fit, but no younger children, please.
Harlow is also making wonderful progress with potty training! With a consistent routine, a little patience, and the example of the other dog in her foster home, her accidents have become almost nonexistent. Because she is still hesitant to potty on leash, a securely fenced yard is a must for her future home.
Harlow has already come so far, and we can’t wait to see what the next chapter holds for her. She’s looking for a loving, supportive family who will celebrate her little victories, help her navigate the world at her own pace, and show her just how wonderful life can be. In return, she’ll offer you a whole lot of sweetness, wiggly greetings, and cuddles. ❤️

Smalls is a well adjusted, good natured pug that would probably get along with anyone he met! He loves playing with toys and he has a lamby bed he loves.
Smalls really likes dog friends and would do best in a home with at least one dog companion that is friendly and likes to cuddle. He also likes to play with dog companions.
Smalls notifies you when he needs to go out for potty and seems to be well potty trained. Like many male dogs, he tends to mark when he is in a new environment, but once he settles in this diminishes. He should have some belly bands on hand for "special occasions" when he goes somewhere new.
Smalls has all the good qualities you want in a pug and will make a wonderful snuggly companion looking for a quintessential pug!

With the changing of the seasons, are you ready to "fall" in love? Meet Sparky, a 10-year-young pug with a heart full of love and a personality that will sweep you right off your feet.
Sparky may be a senior by age, but he's young at heart. He is incredibly sweet, well-mannered, and loves spending time with his people. In just a few short days with his foster family, he has settled in wonderfully and has already shown what a special companion he is. Although we were told Sparky had never lived with other dogs before, he has been getting along great with his foster family's pets. His favorite activities include cuddling with his humans, curling up in your lap, and sharing your bed at night. If you're looking for a constant companion, Sparky is happy to fill that role.
Sparky also enjoys spending time outdoors, especially when the weather is cool. He prefers shorter walks or longer adventures with plenty of rest breaks along the way. He's currently making great progress on his weight-loss journey, and as he continues to slim down, we expect his energy and stamina to keep improving.

Darling bonded pair Drake and Rihanna (Riri) are extremely close and do everything together. They adore attention and cuddles from their humans as well and make the best couch buddies.
They are perfectly house trained, good on leash for walks and they snooze together at night, preferring to snuggle with their people on the bed of course! They have lived with kids and also get along well with other dogs. A fenced yard with sunning spots will be their dream come true!
Both dogs were spayed and neutered and had major dental surgery while under our care, so they are feeling great and good as new!
Drake and Riri are such a delightful pair and are ready for their loving forever home.

Adorable Rita came to us from Tijuana. We don't know exactly what her life was like before, but we know it was not good. Sometime in her short life her tail got damaged. We are not sure if someone attempted to dock it on their own or if she suffered some other sort of trauma, but it was damaged.
Rita is such a happy loving little girl. She gets along with everyone and especially loves having dog friends to play with. She is active and loves a good game of tug. She also lives with kids and does great.
Rita was spayed and had a dental as well as had her airway done. She is a very healthy girl. As far as her tail injury. This does cause some issues with pooping, but....we have dialed it in and really these issues are minimal. We give her plenty of fiber, make sure she has access to outside frequently and really it is a non issue. We are happy to explain more about this if you are interested, but certainly this is a very minor issue compared to the fabulous dog you would be getting!

Polo is the definition of a lap dog! During the day, he prefers to spend most of his time glued to your hip and sharing your seat. He is very playful and energetic, and does very well on a leash for a long walk. At night, curling up under the blanket next to you will make him a happy boy. This way he’s nice and close and ready for his morning belly rubs.
Much of Polo’s brain is occupied with thoughts of his next snack. He is very food motivated, which makes him a good listener! He quickly bonds with people, but can be a tad possessive at times, which is why being in a single-pet household is a must for him. However, he doesn’t mind meeting new dogs outside of the house.
Polo is potty trained, crate trained and has used a doggy door.
Polo loves ripping apart squeaky toys, going for car rides, walking to the park, and basking in the sun on a warm day.
If you are looking for a devoted friend who thinks you are perfect in every way, Polo is ready for the job!

New Arrivals - Available Soon!
Beatriz was found in the street in Tijuana with a broken pelvis and femur. She was also quite ill with tick borne disease. She was able to get her femur fixed in Mexico and then has made her way to us.
It looks like she may have some infection in her bone where they did the surgery, so we are getting her a referral to a specialist to make sure that it finishes healing as it should.
She is such a loving little pug and we are so happy she was able to make it here with us.

Pugsley came in after his owner said he was suffering from seizures. We also found out after he came in that he was throwing up all the time and after some testing we have found he has megaesophagus! This life long condition cannot be cured but can be managed. We are working to get him set up with a routine that works for him, then we will get him neutered and ready for adoption. Pugsley is a very sweet pug that is taking everything in stride.
