9yr old Frankie is about the cutest, snuggliest little pug you can find. This boy is an expert cuddler and has had perfect house manners while in his foster home.
Frankie would do well with a confident dog friend or he would be fine as an only if someone is home more often than not. He has decided in general, that cats are more for chasing, so a cat free home is best.
Frankie has a history of skin/allergy issues. He is currently taking Apoquel and we are not sure if he has food or environmental allergies. He may benefit from getting an allergy work up to further diagnosis.
Frankie enjoys playing with his toys, going on walks and snoozing in the sun. He makes cute little squealing noises when he’s feeling playful! Frankie loves gentle, respectful kids and is looking for his new home where he can be with his people. He has big plans to get them all trained to meet his snuggling needs!

Pete was minutes away from euthanasia in a California shelter when we stepped in to help him. We were told he was a pug mix, but we would call him an English Bulldog mix. We agree there is probably some pug in there, but he looks like a bulldog and acts like one! Pete weighs about 40 lbs. He is estimated to be 5 years old. Pete is a total sweetheart who wants to be your best friend and will gladly cuddle you at any time of day. He has had excellent vet care since coming in including dental, airway, and ear surgery to remove a growth from inside his right ear.
Pete enjoys cuddling, eating, and playing with a bulldog appropriate ball or Kong donut. He likes neighborhood walks in nice weather, particularly when it is dry and under 70. When he wants to go a different direction or pause, he’ll let you know by pumping the breaks and staring stubbornly. He’s treat and human motivated, though.
Pete is friendly to any creature he sees and likes to play with other dogs. Although, he can get a bit bossy and rough for some dog’s tastes, so an only dog home or with a bulldog experienced human(s) who can manage interactions with others would be ideal.
Pete has made great strides at potty training while in our care, and needs someone who can continue to work on this with patience, treats, and words of affirmation. With one eye and reduced hearing in his right ear, Pete gets around ok and responds well, but is still working on stairs and does best when there’s a light on or the sun is out. He is amenable to being carried and needs to be lifted in and out of cars.
He does great with grooming, including teeth brushing, When left alone in a crate with the TV on, he cries for a bit, then settles and snoozes.
Pete does have allergy issues which have been untreated for probably his whole life and this has left him with some ear problems. He will need to continue care with a dermatologist to keep his ears healthy and feeling his best. We have done all the hard work getting him cleaned up, now he just needs someone to keep up with the maintenance!
Pete is a total show stopper, great looking and friendly dog who someone will be very lucky to welcome into their home!

This 11 yr old guy is in great shape for his age. He is the perfect blend of active and chill. He needs an owner that can take him for a nice daily walk since he can get bored in the house. Just like us, when he gets bored he wants to eat and will bug you for snacks or early dinner😂
Dexter is very well mannered in public and in the house. He is doing great with his potty training and has done fine with the other dogs he lives with...although he does not really have interest in interacting with them. We would guess he would also do fine with cats. If you work from home, he will lay next to your desk and sleep quietly while you work, but he also does fine at home alone.
Dexter is a bigger guy, we are guessing he is a bit of a mix, but we are not sure what with. His absolute favorite thing to do is hang out in the yard on nice days. We have never met a pug that liked to be outside more than this guy! For that reason he will need a fenced yard that he can safely hang out in. He will spend hours napping and sunning if you let him! Dexter also recently started playing with toys, so he is opening up more each day!
If you have a nice yard and some time to spend with him, Dexter can't wait to hear from you!

Do you like your senior pugs mild or spicy? If you lean towards the higher end of the heat scale, Ruby will be the girl for you!
This independent no nonsense girl knows what she wants. While she is quite the sass queen, she is equally playful and loving. She just likes things on her timeline and terms...can you blame a girl???
10 yr old Ruby is one of those pugs that needs a little more maintenance. She has a very deep nasal fold that needs to be kept clean and she needs prescription eye drops to keep her eyes from being so dry. She is mostly blind, but gets around amazingly well. She loves to go for walks and does great on leash. Ruby has a history of skin/allergy issues and ear infections. However we have gotten her all cleaned up and she has been doing great.
Ruby has done fine with other dogs and cats. She is independent and not really interested in them, but will live peacefully. She has started playing with toys and she loves to go for car rides. She currently lives in an apartment with her foster mom and does great with that lifestyle. She does fine being left alone, but is used to getting a potty break every 4-5 hours. She is fully housetrained.
Ruby can get a little grumpy if you try to make her do something she does not want to do. She especially is not a fan of the vet office. Don't tell her, but we giggle when she growls and snaps, we of course think she is harmless, but she would not do well in a home with children. You do need to be patient with her antics and sometimes she just needs a bit of space.
If you are a warm fuzzy kind of pug owner, Ruby probably is not a match for you, but if a strong, independent and no nonsense queen is more your jam, Ruby will be a dream dog for you!

Sweet Elsa was used for breeding and being given away on craigslist. We have provided her with a much needed dental, spay, and other veterinary care but we also found out she has a cardiac disorder called sick sinus rhythm which is unresponsive to medication. We are now fundraising to get her a pacemaker, which will improve her quality of life for many years to come.
