Looking for a loyal, loving, and oh-so-special companion? Meet Hank, a 3-year-old French Bulldog with the biggest heart and the gentlest soul.

Hank is happiest living life in the slow lane. He loves leisurely strolls where he can stop and smell every flower, rather than power walks. Whether he’s hanging out at home, meeting new people, or tagging along for a trip to Home Depot, Hank is calm, well-mannered, and always right by your side.

He adores people of all ages and gets along wonderfully with other animals. He’s never shown a hint of reactivity, making him a dream companion for just about any home. Hank truly just wants to love and be loved.

Hank does have special medical needs—he is epileptic and takes medication to manage seizures. Because of this, his ideal forever home is one where someone is home most of the time, in case he needs support. He would thrive in a family with kids and pets, or just as well with a single person who can devote time and love to him. Most importantly, Hank needs someone patient, understanding, and financially able to provide his ongoing medical care.

In return, Hank will give you unwavering loyalty, endless snuggles, and the kind of unconditional love that makes every day brighter. Whoever gets to call Hank their forever pup is truly lucky.

Are you looking for a pint sized tiny love bug? Look no further than Tiny Tim. Don’t let his name fool you. He is the BIGGEST love bug.

Tim came up from California from an horrible hoarding situation and landed with Pacific Pug Rescue. He had horrendous teeth with a lot pus pockets through out, got neutered, is working on some skin issues and trying to gain some weight. Even with all of these issues he came into the rescue with , he is so laidback and wants all the love you can give.

Tim likes mellow dogs and cats. Snuggles, food and walkies. He also plays with toys. He is working on basic bathroom manners but he’s learning quick. He would love a home that can help him learn, a relaxed home, older kids. He can tend to be a little scared from time to time so a family that will take time with him.

Can you give this Big Tiny love bug of a guy a chance? If so, apply! He’s waiting…

The only thing this Lara Croft has in common with her namesake, is that she is a bad-ass female that can make it through adversity.

Living in a hoarder house and being pregnant is all this poor girl has known. She is so excited about the prospects of a new life. She loves to get in your lap and cuddle and give kisses. We have seen her walk on her back legs when she is being playful and she likes to follow you all around the yard.

She has caught on quickly to potty training and does well if kept on a schedule. She will need a securely fenced yard, she is not ready for leash walks yet.

If you have some room in your heart and lap for this sweet girl then she can’t wait to meet you.

Adorable Curly Sue was found in a hoarder house with over 40 pug mixes. At only 7 lbs, we are not sure that Curly Sue has any pug in her….she seems pretty Chi to us! Regardless of her mix she is such a nice girl.

Curly Sue is very afraid, but has been making huge strides every day. She loves people and would be happy to be cuddled all the time. If she’s not being held by a person, she wants to be cuddling another dog, so it will be important that she has a friendly dog in the home with her.

Curly Sue will need a child free home that is patient and quiet as she learns all about the world. A secure yard is a must, she does not know how to walk on leash and is not ready to take on the outside world yet. She has really picked up potty training quickly and as long as you keep her to a schedule she does well.

If you want to show Curly Sue how great the world can be then put your application in today!

Meet Talia!
This resilient 8-year-old pug has overcome a rough past and is now ready for her fresh start. When she first came into rescue, she was in poor condition, but after a spay, dental, and lots of TLC, she’s feeling great and showing her true, loving self.

Talia is a gentle, affectionate girl who loves to cuddle and be close to her people. She enjoys the company of other dogs and would do well in a home with canine companions. Her ideal family will be calm and low-key, with plenty of love to give. Young kids may be too overwhelming for her, but she’ll thrive with older, respectful children.

With her ever-present tongue and sweet personality, Talia is sure to make her forever family smile every single day.

She is so perfect that we think she got the best of all the breeds in her profile!

Raspberry will do best in a home with another playful dog or you will need to make sure she gets plenty of stimulation with her socialization. Raspberry has already got the basics. She is doing great with her potty training, she can sit for her treats and she is learning not to bite fingers! She is very cuddly, full of energy and she loves tug of war!

Raspberru

We don't know what Chester is mixed with, but we hope whoever adopts him will get a DNA test done! He has a pug curly tail, the pug fawn coloring and his face is very pug...but he does have a snout and he also has long legs and a normal neck! He is only about 17 lbs but he is a few pounds underweight and tall!
He also has the best characteristics of a pug...he is extremely loving and sweet and he just wants to cuddle!

Chester's story is a sad one. He came to us from Bakersfield. He was found with a large slash wound across his shoulder. They think this was done to him by a human on purpose. Despite this Chester still loves people, he is a very friendly boy that also does great with other dogs.

Chester is ready for a family to get some weight on him and take him on all sorts of adventures. He does great in the car and will make a wonderful companion to an active person that likes to hike and wants to include him in their daily activities.

Dorothy is one of the pug mixes that came to us from a Central California hoarding case. This little darling girl was quite scared when she first got here, but every day she gets a little better. You can tell she just wants to be loved so much!

Dorothy was living in a hoarder house with more than 40 dogs, so it is clear she has never had life experiences...everything, including human attention, is new to her! This just means you get to teach her how wonderful life can be!

If you have never had experience working with a scared dog, the only thing you need to know is patience...and a lot of it! You cannot expect your new dog to go on walks and go out in public with you right away. There will be lots of baby steps, which first starts by just building trust in the home. You will need to have a safe area for the dog so they can go there when they are feeling overwhelmed. Kids and scared dogs are not a match, so your home should be on the quieter side. It is always best to have another well adjusted dog in the home. We have found scared dogs will always do better if they have a canine companion to show them the ropes. A very secure fenced yard is a must.

Dorothy is well on her way to figuring life out. She does seek out attention and pets from her foster mom and is learning about going outside and going potty. She snuggles up with her foster canine friends. Even though there is a little extra effort, we promise it is so worth it!

Frodo is a sweet and snuggly 2-year-old Chiweenie/Pug mix (best guess—no DNA test yet!) looking for his forever family. At first, he can be a little timid when meeting new people, but once he feels safe, his playful and loving personality shines through.

In his foster home, Frodo has been living happily with other dogs, cats, and an older child. While he prefers not to interact with kids (he’ll usually just keep his distance and hide when they’re around), he has never shown any signs of aggression. Because of this, Frodo would do best in a calm home with no children, or with kids who understand how to give him space while he settles in.

Frodo LOVES other dogs and would thrive with a confident, playful canine buddy to show him the ropes—and to join him in a fun game of Chase. He enjoys snuggling with his people, playing with toys, and going for walks (he’s great on leash!). He’s also a polite passenger on car rides and has been doing wonderfully with his potty training—no accidents indoors.

If you’re looking for a loyal little sidekick who just needs a bit of patience at first, Frodo may be your perfect match. With another playful dog friend and a family who will give him love and understanding, this sweet boy will blossom into the best companion.

12 year old Layla came to PPR when her elderly owner could no longer care for her. Layla had not been to the vet and we found that she had just about every neglect-related ailment a dog can have. She has been to our wonderful vet for a major fix up and is already feeling like a new girl!

Layla has transformed to a lively active senior, watching all the activities in her foster home and exploring the yard. She ignores the other dogs and mainly focuses on her people. We expect she would ignore cats as well.

Layla attaches quickly and fiercely to her person and is a sweet, cuddly girl who will thrive in a home where someone is around most of the time, although she is fine on her own for a couple of hours. She is perfectly house trained and sleeps quietly, wagging wildly when she sees you in the morning.

Layla is deaf and will need daily eye drops which she doesn’t mind a bit. If you’re ready for a lovely, goofy lady in your life, Layla is ready to find her loving retirement home.

Fiona

Fiona came to us from the streets of Tijuana hoping to find a home in Oregon. We are not sure what kind of life Fiona had before, but her love of humans is unmatched. No one is a stranger to Fiona, she is ready to give kisses and hugs to whoever she meets!

When she is not out being social, she is perfectly content to be at home with you. She loves to snuggle and if you sit on the couch Fiona will be right there with you. She likes patrolling her backyard keeping you safe from squirrels and snacking on her foster mom's berries. She also enjoys playing with her toys and giving them a good shake!

Fiona's is mostly blind, but she can see movement. . She is missing one eye and the other has dry eye which she will need to take daily drops for.
Despite being blind, Fiona maps out her environment quickly and has learned to use stairs to get on the couch and bed! Other than that Fiona is very healthy and had a full makeover when she got here. Spay, dental, eye removal!

Fiona is not a fan of other dogs, and she is a Frenchie, so she has the fight first ask questions later attitude! She will need to be the only pet in the house, but she is easily managed when going for walks since she can't see well!

If you love Frenchies and would like to give a very special senior girl a home, Fiona will be a wonderful addition!

Abby

Abby is a smart, sassy, and incredibly cute pug mix who’s ready to find her perfect match. She’s fully potty-trained, loves her toys more than anything, and forms deep bonds with her people once she feels safe.

She gets along well with cats and small dogs, especially respectful seniors. Young, playful dogs can be a hit too—she enjoys a good round of roughhousing! But she’s uncomfortable around large dogs and needs a home without them. Abby can be cautious with new people, so slow introductions and a calm environment are key to helping her feel at ease.

Abby is very active and needs daily exercise to stay balanced. Skipping a walk isn’t an option for this high-energy girl! On leash, she can be reactive to people and other dogs, but with consistency and the right handler, her progress has been great and it’s totally manageable.

At home, she can be a bit barky, especially if there’s noise or activity outside. Her love of toys is unmatched. She proudly carries them from room to room and is a master toy destroyer, so tough toys are a must.

Abby’s ideal home:
  • Adults only (no young kids)
  • Calm, low-traffic environment (not many visitors)
  • Either no other pets or small, respectful ones (no large dogs)
  • Someone experienced and willing to work on leash reactivity
  • A home that can provide daily exercise and mental stimulation
  • Someone who doesn’t mind a few barks—and toys everywhere!

Abby won’t be the right fit for every home, but with the right person, she’ll be a loving, loyal, and entertaining companion.

Stella

Meet Stella the eight year old bulldog, with a lot of love and loyalty for her human companions.

Her favorite things include; strolls around the neighborhood (0.75-1.0 miles), bully sticks, sunbathing, fruit, snuggling on the couch, following you around the house and welcoming you home.

As the chief rat catcher of our house, she demonstrates a need for a home free of cats and smaller pets. She has been to doggy daycare once and had a play date with an older German Shepherd with success. She is willing to meet other large animals in an off leash environment to see if they get along, she can be a little frisky on a leash.

During walks around the neighborhood, she requires some redirection to stay by your side. She would do well in a household that has experience with bulldogs or other large breeds to hone in her leash skills.

She is totally comfortable staying home alone for several hours and is 100% potty trained. She sleeps in her dog bed at night and is not an early riser.

Stella would prefer a home with children who are old enough to respect her boundaries and be kind and gentle with her.

She currently is on an over-the-counter diet for skin and stomach sensitivity, a twice daily anti-inflammatory and every six week injection for skin health.

Stella is truly a one in 1 million beautiful big girl! She has been waiting patiently for her forever home and looks forward to meeting you soon.
